This has included reaching The Times Top 50 Most Influential lists, notable coverage across national media and relevant industry press, and securing interviews for individuals, bands and groups. This is coupled with supporting social media activities and public speaking, media technique and voice/personal presence training if required.
International PR – Ulusaba Private Game Reserve: Managing logistics and facilitating high-profile overseas visits and assisting in securing global PR featuring Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and Christian Slater.

Documentaries and Broadcast: Securing, managing and/or facilitating productions including The Murder Detectives (BAFTA winner), Drugsland, The Met, Neighbourhood Blues, and Netflix’s Viking Hoard. In addition, the management of many press conferences and live media facilities, securing extensive coverage at both national and international level.
Creative PR: Leading an event-driven campaign on behalf of The London Dungeon, with activations at the Millennium Dome, Leicester Square and Soho, resulting in major coverage on MTV and national news.

Crisis Communications
MBC’s Crisis Communications service helps you stay calm, clear, and in control when it matters most. We support you through every stage — from identifying potential reputational risks, providing training and building contingency plans and communications strategies, to managing fast-moving crisis situations including media and social media responses in real time. When issues arise, we craft clear, confident communications and create effective communications plans that protect your reputation and maintain trust.

Crisis Communications Lead – Emergency & Major Incidents: Leading organisational police comms responses to the London Bridge and Parsons Green terror attacks, national flooding, regional Covid-19 major incidents responses, a regional response to Operation Bridges (the death of Prince Phillip) and the comms responses to many high-profile murders and police investigations over a period of 15 years. This often required me to coordinate and lead activities with other blue-light organisations, local authorities and national government departments and organisations.

Reputation Management: Managing and leading crisis comms and PR for several police forces in relation to several deaths in custody, misconduct cases and high-profile trials including police officers convicted of murder—minimising reputational risk, ensuring accurate reporting and maintaining public confidence. Additional examples also including managing the initial crisis comms following a celebrity drug arrest for Virgin, aligning with their external PR partner to redirect media narrative.

Regional Comms Lead – Strategic Coordination and Resilience Forum: Overseeing and leading all Covid-19 and flooding comms for Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Staffordshire, across a multi-agency partnership landscape, for a period of 18 months; I also contributed to the national approach to communications for these issues.

Previous work has included:

Social Media Strategy: Creating successful and creative content to support integrated marketing strategies and PR plans. This has including content that has gone ‘viral’, such as the ‘police dog press-up challenge’, various awareness campaigns and implementing a new strategic approach to social media for a previous company, boosting engagement by 60% and delivering on strategic objectives.
Campaigns & Impact: Creating the concept, providing specialist insights and audience testing to deliver a successful CIPR-recognised, life-saving campaign reaching disengaged audiences. This included securing effective partnerships with Kiss FM, MTV, LadBible, The Prince’s Trust, and Premiership Football Clubs, using influencers and partner channels to deliver key messaging and calls to action.
Behaviour Change Campaigns: Delivering successful campaigns that impacted and helped reduce a particular crime type by 50% and increased engagement from hard-to-reach groups through BBC and Countryfile-backed PR campaigns, securing effective and sustained media coverage and audience penetration.
Live Comms Events: Creating and running multi-channel comms events covering live, activities and operations that went ‘viral’ reaching 1.5M people in 5 hours, with high audience engagement. This helped improve organisational awareness and positioning; and contributed significantly to increased trust and confidence, and public engagement.
Strategic Comms Outcomes: Over a sustained, integrated and multi-channel campaign, improving public trust (89→95%), confidence (83→86%), and sense of being informed (33→51%) for a previous organisation; and separately boosting public reporting of information and intelligence (crime +24.5%, grooming/guns +100%) and positive outcomes from 40 to 50% achieving strategic objectives and contributing directly to public safety.

​Video Production: Writing, directing and producing many videos and digital content for multiple organisations. This has included informal, short social media reels, awards and conference content and longer marketing and information films including writing, directing and producing two films of biennial multi-national NATO missile events for the Royal Navy and US Marines; and an MOD Sanctuary Awards video filmed on St Kilda acting as co-producer on location, and was involved in the editing of all three projects.

Events

Whether it’s a high-profile launch, panel discussion, awards ceremony, industry conference, charity auction, music or theatre event - I handle everything from concept and objectives to on-the-day management. I can shape the narrative, brief speakers, design the look and feel, secure sponsorship and keynote speakers, advertising and sales, media coverage and deal with logistics including accommodation, invitations, H&S etc. ensuring every detail aligns with your goals. Founder & Director – Live and Unsigned: Creating, producing and hosting the annual Live and Unsigned music competition over a period of six years, featuring multiple heats and locations, with a grand final at The Bristol Beacon. This included achieving corporate sponsorship with local businesses and partnering with Glastonbury Festival, BBC Introducing and The Prodigy. This also included achieving sustained, multi-channel coverage on an annual basis and supporting/promoting the winning band at Glastonbury and with on-going PR post event.
Exhibition Curator – Royal West of England Academy: Curating a major exhibition, including a lost Andy Warhol, organised as part of a multi-heat, regional art competition, delivering regional exhibitions and PR campaigns, resulting in international media coverage.
Award Ceremonies: Delivering multiple award ceremonies, including The Neighbourhood Policing Awards, from managing the nominations process, to delivering the event, creating digital video content, securing corporate sponsorship and securing celebrity hosts.
Corporate events and conferences: These have included Safeguarding Summits with multiple speakers, panels and breakout activities, several communications training events, national awareness events etc.

Music, fashion, charities and celebrations: I hosted and helped organise a charity Fashion Show at Bristol’s M-Shed, and have produced and directed multiple music and theatre events including open air, open days, media access days, charity races, weddings and larger scale celebratory events. ​

Award Recipient – Young Achievers Award: Presented by HM Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, I won an award for outstanding contributions to the arts and charitable fund raising through producing multiple music events raising money for the Bristol Scanner Appeal for the BRI, Cancer Research and other charities.

Tabletop and Scenario Based​
I can help design and facilitate scenario based, live tabletop exercises for comms teams, particularly within the context of media management and crisis comms. I have extensive experience working with blue-light, local authorities and government agencies to deliver realistic training scenarios to help train and plan for a range of different, complex and reputational risk scenarios.

Strategic Co-Creation and Mentoring
I can work with in-house teams, including senior leaders and key stakeholders, to co-create strategies, campaigns and key projects. Working together, we can set objectives, evaluate previous activities, create strategy and I can assist successful implementation acting as either a team and/or individual coach or helping to assess and evaluate progress at key milestones; with refreshed direction for effective outcomes that achieve desired goals.
Previous experience includes:

Mentorship: I have coached and mentored professionals, who have progressed into senior roles across a number of sectors, and others within a personal capacity who have gone on to achieve personal goals and ambitions. I also coach singing, personal presentation and public speaking, and it always gives me enormous pleasure when I hear that people gone on to give a brilliant performance!
Crisis Comms: I have led and created multiple table-top, scenario based crisis comms training events in the past including for the Surrey and West Mercia Local Resilience Forums and Major Incident Coordination Hubs, several police forces, fire services, local authorities, schools and other public sector agencies. These are built on my experience within police, defence and private sector crisis situations including major incidents, terror attacks, reputational crisis, fraud allegations, mis/dis-information leading to public anxiety etc.

Public speaking and media technique: I have also written and delivered multiple media, talking head and interview technique sessions, working with senior leaders to put them through their paces ready to deliver high-profile statements, undertake media interviews, participate in press conferences or deliver major incident updates. Examples: press conferences and responses to national major and critical incidents such as flooding, Covid 19 and several terrorist attacks including the London Bridge attack in 2019, post court statements and interviews in response to the conviction of a police officers, deaths in custody, major incidents, abductions, celebrity arrests and high-profile investigations. ​I am happy to tailor either training packages based on your need or give training inputs, key note speeches on my previous experience to draw out best practice, key learning, experience and advice.

Marketing and campaigns training: I was invited to be the keynote speaker at the APCOM National Event in 2019 outlining my approach and strategy to a long-term, integrated behaviour change campaign. I was also asked to share post-event insights on strategic comms, my campaign approach and previous research.

​Public speaking, performance & media: I attended the Webber Douglas Academy for Performing Arts and trained with the English National Opera, I have personally performed to audiences of 6,000+ and acted in many productions including with The Welsh National Opera; A Midsummer Night’s Dream at The Barbican and multiple film/TV roles. I have also directed several stage productions. These skills play into my personal coaching work whether that is breath work and voice technique for public speaking, personal presentation and physicality or just working on confidence and personal presence. The latter being particularly helpful for C-Suite looking to raise their profile.
